Titian’s "Lady in White" is full of grace­fulness and beauty – but also full of mysteries. Speculations have always been made about the identity of the young woman. Is she the artist’s daughter Lavinia; is she the ideal image of feminine beauty? The essays in this publication focus in depth on this master­work by Titian that is one of the high­lights of the world famous Old Masters Picture Gallery in Dresden.
